Realme: Reset Access Point Names (APN)

If mobile data drops out or MMS messages fail to send after switching carriers or SIM cards, leftover or conflicting APN entries on your Realme phone are usually the reason. Realme keeps every access point name ever added, and an outdated entry can override the one your active SIM actually needs.

Reset Access Point Names (APNs) auf Realme

Wrong or duplicated APN entries are a common reason why mobile data stops working after a SIM swap or a manually edited carrier profile on a Realme phone. Realme UI stores every access point name you or your carrier ever added, and an outdated entry can conflict with the one your current SIM actually needs.

A reset removes all saved access point names and restores only the default entry required for the SIM card currently in use. This fixes most cases of missing mobile data, failed MMS, or a stuck no internet connection message right after switching networks.

How to reset your APN settings

Open SettingsSIM card & mobile data. On dual-SIM phones, choose the SIM card you want to fix, then tap Access point names. Open the Menu and tap Reset access points. Confirm by tapping Reset access points again.

Restart your phone afterward so it reloads the carrier profile. If mobile data still fails after the reset, contact your carrier for the correct APN values, since some prepaid or regional providers require a manually entered access point.

Frequently asked questions

No. The reset under Access point names only affects mobile data settings and leaves WiFi profiles, contacts, and apps untouched.
