Realme: Change the Time Zone Manually

If your realme phone shows the wrong local time after traveling or switching networks, the time zone is likely still locked to automatic detection. Realme UI normally pulls this value from the mobile network, which can lag or pick the wrong region when you cross borders, use a local SIM, or lose network coverage. Locking in the correct time zone yourself keeps calendar entries, alarms, and call logs accurate.

Change Time Zone Manually auf Realme

Realme UI keeps the time zone in sync with your mobile network by default. This works fine at home, but it can break while roaming, using a local SIM without data, or in areas with weak network coverage. When the network signal cannot deliver a reliable time zone, your realme phone may display the wrong local time even though the date is correct.

To fix this, you need to disable automatic detection first, then pick the time zone yourself. Open SettingsAdditional settingsDate & time. Inside this menu, turn off Set automatically. This unlocks the Time zone field, which was grayed out while automatic detection was active.

Tap Time zone and select the correct region from the list. Once set, the time zone stays fixed until you change it again or turn automatic detection back on.

If only the clock, not the time zone, is off, check whether Set automatically was toggled back on by a system update. Manual settings can be reset after major software changes.

Frequently asked questions

A software update or a factory reset can turn Set automatically back on. Check SettingsAdditional settingsDate & time and disable it again if this happens.
