Realme: Turn Mono Audio On or Off

If you only wear one earbud or rely on a single mono speaker, Realme's default stereo playback can leave part of the sound missing entirely. Calls, music, and videos split left and right channels separately, so dialogue or background audio might come through only one side. Mono audio merges both channels so every speaker or earpiece plays the full mix.

Turn On/Off Mono Audio auf Realme

Realme phones play audio in stereo by default, sending different channels to each speaker or earbud. If you only wear one earbud, use a mono hearing aid, or listen through a single external speaker, parts of a call, song, or video can go missing because that content only exists in the other channel.

Mono audio settings merge both channels into a single signal that plays identically everywhere, so nothing gets lost when you are not using a full stereo setup. This affects calls, media playback, and system sounds, and it does not change overall volume levels.

To enable or disable it, go to Tap on SettingsTap on Additional settingsTap on AccessibilityEnable or disable Mono audio. The toggle applies instantly across the system.

Leave it off if you regularly use both earbuds or stereo speakers for music and movies, since stereo separation is what gives instruments and effects their sense of placement. Turn it on if hearing or device limitations mean one channel would otherwise stay silent.

Frequently asked questions

No, calls still process both channels but merge them into one signal, so you hear the same information in each earpiece or speaker.
