Add a Printer Manually by IP Address auf Realme
The default print service on Realme phones scans the local Wi-Fi network for compatible printers and lists them automatically. This discovery relies on the printer broadcasting itself correctly on the same network segment as your phone. If the printer sits behind a different subnet, has broadcast discovery disabled, or is simply slow to respond, it will not appear in the list even though it is reachable.
Adding the printer by its IP address skips the broadcast step entirely. Instead of waiting for the printer to announce itself, you tell the phone exactly where to find it on the network.
Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Connection & sharing ➔ Tap on Print ➔ Tap on Default Print Service ➔ Tap on Add ➔ Tap on Search by IP Address ➔ Enter a Printer nameor IP Address and tap on Search. The phone connects directly to that address and pulls the printer details if it responds.
This method only works while the printer keeps the same IP address. If your router assigns addresses dynamically, the printer can get a new IP after a restart and the connection will break again. Setting a static IP or a DHCP reservation on the printer avoids that problem long-term.
If the printer still does not respond after entering its IP address, check that both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network and that the printer's network printing feature is switched on.
