Turn On/Off SIM Card Lock auf Realme
SIM card lock is a security layer separate from your screen lock. It ties a PIN directly to the SIM chip, so even if someone moves the SIM into another phone, they still need that PIN to make calls, send texts or use mobile data.
On Realme UI, this setting sits inside the security menu, not the general lock screen settings, which is why many users cannot find it right away. If your Realme has two SIM slots, each SIM gets its own lock and its own PIN, so you choose which card to manage before switching the toggle.
To turn the lock on or off:
Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Security ➔ Tap on SIM card lock ➔ Choose a SIM card (Dual SIM) ➔ Enable or disable Lock SIM card ➔ Enter the Current PIN and tap on Save
You need the current PIN to change the setting either way. If you never set a custom PIN, the carrier default usually applies, and you should check with your provider before experimenting, since three wrong attempts lock the SIM and require a PUK code to recover.
Turning the lock off is convenient if you are the only person who ever handles the phone and restarts are frequent. Keep it on if the phone travels with you often or if someone else could get physical access to it.
