Turn USB-OTG On or Off
If your Realme phone doesn't recognize a USB mouse, keyboard, or flash drive plugged into the USB-C port, USB-OTG support is likely switched off. This function lets accessories draw data and sometimes power through the port, but Realme UI keeps it disabled by default on many models to save battery. Turning it off again once you're done also prevents unwanted devices from connecting automatically.
Turn Screencast On or Off
When the phone screen won't mirror to a Smart TV or monitor, Screencast is often switched off or the two devices are sitting on different Wi-Fi networks. Wireless mirroring only works if both devices share the same network and the receiving screen supports casting. This affects streaming, presentations and Chromecast connections alike.
Tethering and Mobile Hotspot
Tethering lets your Realme phone share its mobile data connection with a laptop, tablet, or another phone. Realme UI offers this through Wi-Fi hotspot, USB tethering, and Bluetooth tethering, each with its own speed, range, and battery trade-offs. Turn NFC On or Off
If contactless payment or file sharing suddenly stops working on your Realme phone, the NFC radio might be switched off inside Connection & sharing. Realme UI lets you attach proxy settings to a single Wi-Fi network so every app routes traffic through that server instead of directly. Missing or wrong proxy data is the usual reason browsing fails even though Wi-Fi shows as connected.
Set Monthly Data Warning
If your mobile data keeps running out before the billing cycle ends, a monthly data warning can help you catch it early. Realme only lets you configure one alert threshold, and it only fires once the mobile data limit itself is switched on. Without enabling the limit, the alert stays silent even if you enter a value for it.
Mobile Data During Calls on Secondary SIM
On a Dual SIM Realme phone, a call on one line does not automatically mean you stay online. If your secondary SIM holds the data plan, internet access can drop the moment you pick up, cutting messaging apps and background syncs mid-call. This setting decides whether that secondary SIM keeps feeding data while the other line handles the voice call.
Delete Access Point Names (APNs)
Old or wrongly configured APN entries on a Realme phone can block mobile data even after you fix the actual settings, since the phone might still be pointed at a broken profile. This gets especially annoying after a SIM or provider swap, when the previous carrier profile lingers in the list and confuses the new connection. Removing the outdated entry clears that conflict for good.
Enable USB Tethering
If your laptop or PC will not connect to the internet after plugging in the USB cable, USB tethering on your Realme phone is probably switched off. Unlike Bluetooth tethering, USB tethering barely drains the battery, but it only works while the cable stays connected. A loose cable or a device that is not recognized as a USB connection can also stop the shared connection from working.
Turn On/Off SIM Card Lock
If your Realme phone asks for a PIN every time you restart it, SIM card lock is active in the background. Enter that PIN wrong three times in a row and the SIM locks itself completely, cutting off calls, texts and mobile data until you unlock it with a PUK. Turning the lock off removes the restart prompt, but it also removes the protection against someone else using your SIM.
Share Wi-Fi Password via QR Code
Reading out a long Wi-Fi password letter by letter to a guest wastes time and often ends in a typo on their end. Realme UI can turn the password of the network your phone is currently connected to into a scannable QR code, so any other phone with a camera joins in seconds. This only works for the active connection, not for networks that are merely saved on your phone.
Turn Bluetooth On or Off
When your realme phone will not connect to headphones, earbuds or a speaker, Bluetooth is often still switched off in the background. The toggle can hide either in the quick settings panel or deep inside the connection settings, and a disabled radio module also blocks any pairing attempt.
Turn Google Location History On or Off
If Google Maps Timeline shows blank days or never remembers the places you visited, Location History is probably switched off for your Google account. If you would rather stop your Realme phone from reporting your movements to Google at all, the same setting is what you need to check. Either way, the toggle sits inside your Google account settings, not in a separate Realme menu.
Bluetooth Tethering Setup
If your laptop or tablet has no free USB port or you want to avoid draining your battery with a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth tethering shares your Realme phone's mobile data over an existing Bluetooth pairing. Speeds are lower than a Wi-Fi hotspot, but the connection uses noticeably less power. It only works with devices you have already paired over Bluetooth.
Set Daily Data Limit
If your monthly data plan disappears within a few days, uncontrolled background usage on a single day is often the cause. Realme UI only tracks a monthly limit by default, so a heavy streaming or update day can go unnoticed until the bill or plan warning arrives. A daily limit gives you an earlier checkpoint before the monthly cap is even close.
