Auto Optimize Settings for Battery Saving auf Samsung
Samsung phones running on One UI include a scheduled maintenance routine that trims resource use once a day, usually around midnight. This routine is controlled by the Optimise settings toggle inside Device care and is separate from manual battery optimisation for individual apps.
When enabled, the system checks which settings and background permissions have not been needed recently and scales them back automatically, without requiring you to open each app manually. When disabled, every setting stays exactly as configured around the clock, which can quietly increase battery drain if you rarely restart the phone.
To check or change the setting, open Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Device care ➔ Open the menu ➔ Tap on Advanced ➔ Enable or disable Optimise settings.
This feature is a good fit if your phone stays on and connected overnight rather than being switched off. If you already restart your device daily or manage app battery permissions individually, the effect will be smaller, since much of the same cleanup already happens through those manual steps.
Side effects are minimal, since the routine only adjusts settings that have gone unused, not active app data or saved preferences.
