Bixby Vision: Scan Objects with the Camera auf Samsung
Bixby Vision analyzes whatever the camera sees and tries to match it against known objects, text, products, or landmarks. It only works with an active internet connection, either Wi-Fi or mobile data, because the image data gets sent to Samsung servers for recognition.
A linked Samsung account is required as well. Without sign-in, the Bixby Vision button may still appear in the camera app, but tapping it produces no scan result or an error message asking you to log in.
Menu path to start a scan
Open the path Tap on Camera ➔ Tap on More ➔ Tap on Bixby Vision ➔ Scan an Object. Point the camera at the object, text, or scene you want identified and hold steady for a moment.
If the first result is not accurate enough, tap Show more results to see alternative matches. This is useful for products with similar packaging or plants that look alike at first glance.
If nothing shows up after scanning, first check your network connection and confirm you are signed into your Samsung account. Poor lighting or a shaky camera can also prevent Bixby Vision from recognizing an object.
For frequent scanning tasks like translating text or comparing shopping prices, a stable Wi-Fi connection gives faster and more consistent results than mobile data.
