Clear App Data (Reset an App) auf Samsung
When an app on your Samsung phone behaves oddly, shows old login info, or fills up storage with cached files, clearing its app data resets it to a clean state.
App data includes everything the app has saved since installation: your login credentials, settings, and any content stored inside the app itself, such as chat messages, photos, or downloaded documents. This differs from cache, which only holds temporary files. Clearing data removes both cache and permanent app content.
To clear app data, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Apps ➔ Choose an App ➔ Tap on Storage ➔ Tap on Clear data ➔ Tap on OK. The app returns to its original state, as if freshly installed, and you need to sign in again and reconfigure any settings.
Use this fix when an app crashes repeatedly, wont sync correctly, or you want to remove all personal traces without deleting the app entirely. If you only need more storage space or want to fix minor loading issues, clearing the cache alone is usually enough and keeps your login and settings intact.
Clearing app data cannot be undone. Any unsynced content stored only inside the app, such as offline notes or local backups, is lost permanently.
