Turn Color Inversion On or Off auf Samsung
Color inversion is an accessibility feature on Samsung phones that swaps every colour on the display. White areas turn black, dark backgrounds turn light, and colours like green or blue shift to their opposite tones.
This setting affects the entire screen, not just the system interface. Photos, videos, and other media are inverted too, which is why content can suddenly look wrong after this feature gets toggled by accident.
Where the setting lives
Color inversion sits inside the accessibility settings, separate from Dark mode or the display theme. It is meant for users who need a high-contrast, reversed display, not for general appearance changes.
To turn it on or off:
Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Accessibility ➔ Tap on Visibility enhancements ➔ Enable or disable Color inversion
When to use it, when not to
Color inversion helps in bright environments or for users sensitive to bright white backgrounds. If you only want a darker interface without inverting media colours, Dark mode is the better fit since it keeps photos and videos looking normal.
Side effect to expect: once enabled, everything on screen is affected, including app icons and camera previews. Turning it off restores normal colours immediately, no restart needed.
