Restore Deleted Messages from Trash auf Samsung
Deleted texts in the Samsung Messages app do not vanish right away. They move into a Trash folder and stay there for 30 days before the system deletes them permanently.
This safety net exists because the Messages app treats deletion as a two-step process: removing a conversation or single message first sends it to Trash instead of wiping it instantly. That gives you a window to notice a mistaken deletion and pull the message back into your conversation list.
To restore a message, open Messages, then open Menu and tap on Trash. There you switch to Edit, select the message or conversation you want back, and tap Restore. The item returns to its original conversation thread with timestamps intact.
If the Trash folder is empty even though you deleted something recently, the 30-day window may have already passed, or the message was cleared manually from Trash. In that case, only a backup restore (Samsung Cloud or a local backup) can bring it back, since the in-app Trash cannot recover permanently deleted content.
