Show Always On Display Always or on a Schedule auf Samsung
Always On Display only helps when it actually shows up at the moment you glance at your phone. If it stays dark during the day or drains the battery overnight, the trigger is usually the display mode buried in the lock screen settings, not a hardware limit.
Samsung splits this feature into two modes. Show always keeps the clock and notifications visible around the clock, which is useful if you check the time constantly but costs more battery. Show as scheduled only activates the display during a window you define, for example while you are awake.
To change it, open Settings ➔ Lock screen ➔ Always On Display. Choose Show always or Show as scheduled. If you pick the scheduled option, tap Set schedule, adjust the Start and End time, and confirm with Done.
A schedule makes sense if your phone spends the night on a nightstand and you want to save battery while sleeping. Always-on mode fits better if you rely on quick glances for notifications throughout the day. Neither setting affects notification sounds or vibration, only what appears on the locked screen.
