Xiaomi: Turn the Autofill Service On or Off

The Autofill service on Xiaomi phones reads the fields on screen and fills in saved information such as addresses, login credentials or payment details. Google Autofill is the default provider, but a password manager or another app can take over the same job.

When the wrong provider is active, forms may stay empty, suggest outdated entries, or trigger repeated permission pop-ups. Turning the service off removes those suggestions entirely and stops any provider from reading form content on screen.

Change or disable the provider

Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Additional settings ➔ Tap on Languages & input ➔ Tap on Autofill service. Pick the provider you want to use, or select Choose an Autofill service or tap None to disable the function to turn autofill off completely.

Disabling the service does not delete data already saved inside a browser or password manager. It only stops the automatic filling on the display, so every field needs to be entered manually until a provider is chosen again.

If a browser keeps suggesting saved logins even with the system service off, check that browser's own autofill setting separately, since it can run independently from the system-level option.
