Turn On Automatic Backup for Storage and Data auf Xiaomi
Manual backups only protect the data you remembered to save before your phone was lost, reset, or damaged. MIUI's automatic backup removes that gap by running on a schedule you set once.
The feature lives inside the Back up and restore tool built into MIUI. Once enabled, it checks your chosen schedule in the background and saves the selected data without any extra taps.
Open Settings ➔ About phone ➔ Back up and restore ➔ Settings, then enable or disable Back up automatically. When it is turned on, you can also set the Days, Time, and which Back up items get included in each run.
Choose a time when the phone sits idle. Overnight works well for most people, since the backup then does not compete with apps you are actively using for storage access or battery.
If you need a one-time backup right before a factory reset or a device swap, running it manually is faster than waiting for the next scheduled window. Turning automatic backup off stops future scheduled runs but does not delete backups you already created.
