Xiaomi: Show Battery Percentage in the Status Bar

Show Battery Percentage in Status Bar auf Xiaomi

The battery icon in the MIUI status bar only shows a rough fill level. By default the system hides the exact number, so you cannot tell whether 25 percent means 22 or 29 percent remaining.

Switching to a numeric display makes charge levels precise, which matters if you rely on your phone for navigation, calls, or mobile payments away from a charger.

How to enable it

Open Settings ➔ Notifications & Control center ➔ Status bar ➔ Battery indicator ➔ choose an option.

You can pick a percentage next to the icon, inside the icon, or leave the icon alone if you prefer the classic look.

This setting only changes the status bar display. It does not affect the actual battery health, charging speed, or how the system calculates remaining time.

If the percentage still does not appear after saving, restart the phone once. On some MIUI versions the status bar needs a refresh to apply the new layout immediately.

Frequently asked questions
