Block a Contact (Calls & Messages) auf Xiaomi
If someone keeps calling or texting after you have asked them to stop, blocking removes that contact from your call and message flow entirely.
MIUI handles this through the built-in blocklist inside the Contacts app, not through a separate dialer setting.
Once you block a saved contact, MIUI silently rejects incoming calls and routes messages away from your main inbox, usually into a blocked or spam folder depending on your messaging app.
You get no notification for blocked calls or texts, and the other person sees no clear sign they have been blocked; calls on their end typically ring once or fail immediately.
To block a saved contact, open Contacts, tap the person you want to block, then open the Menu ➔ Block numbers ➔ Block.
If the number is not saved as a contact, use the blocklist inside the Phone app instead, since this Contacts route only works for entries already stored on your device.
Blocking is the right fix for permanent unwanted contact. For temporary quiet hours, Do Not Disturb with allowed exceptions works better and does not cut the person off completely.
To reverse a block, repeat the same steps in the Contacts app; the block option switches to an unblock option automatically.
