Xiaomi: Block a Number from Call History

Spam calls from fake lottery winnings or gambling subscriptions keep showing up in your call log even after you hang up. On Xiaomi phones, blocking a caller straight from that log is often faster than adding them manually through Contacts. Here's what triggers the block option and where it actually lives in the Phone app.

Block a Number from Call History auf Xiaomi

Every recent call on a Xiaomi phone sits in the Phone app's call log, and MIUI lets you block a number directly from that list without opening Contacts first. This matters for spam and scam calls, since you usually never want to save that number anyway.

Blocking through the call log also reports the number as spam if you choose that option, which can help MIUI flag similar numbers automatically in the future. This is different from blocking a saved contact, since here you are acting on the raw number that called or texted you.

Once blocked, that number can no longer reach you by call or SMS, and future contact attempts get silently rejected. If you only want to mute notifications instead of a full block, check your notification settings for that thread, since blocking removes the number entirely rather than just silencing it.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Once you block an entry through Block/report spam in the call log, both calls and SMS from that number are rejected.
