Change the Region Setting auf Xiaomi
MIUI assigns a region automatically, usually derived from your SIM card, mobile network, or initial setup location. This value affects which apps show up in the store, how dates and currencies are formatted, and which regional services become available.
Traveling or switching to a local SIM often triggers an automatic change you did not ask for. The store catalog shifts, some apps disappear, and local content replaces what you had before. Setting the region manually keeps your phone consistent regardless of network changes.
Menu path to change the region
Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Additional settings ➔ Tap on Region ➔ Set the Region. Pick the country or region you want and confirm.
Some apps only reload the new region setting after a restart, so close and reopen the app store if the catalog still looks unchanged.
A manual region only affects software behavior like store listings and formatting. It does not change your mobile network, roaming charges, or SIM registration, so switching it back later is safe and reversible.
