Fix Fisheye Distortion in Ultra Wide Shots auf Xiaomi
Ultra wide-angle lenses capture a much larger field of view than the main camera. This wider perspective causes objects near the edges of the frame to stretch outward, which creates a fisheye-like curve on straight lines such as walls, doorframes or horizons.
MIUI includes a built-in correction feature that flattens these curves after the shot is taken. It analyzes the geometry of the ultra wide sensor and pulls the distorted edges back into a more natural, straight-line look. This works well for architecture, landscapes and group shots where straight edges matter.
In some cases you might prefer to turn the correction off. Certain creative shots, like intentional fisheye effects, look better without any correction applied. Turning it off also slightly speeds up processing on older devices.
To change this setting, go to Tap on Camera ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Enable or disable Correct distortion in ultra wide shots. The toggle applies to all future ultra wide photos until you switch it back.
If your ultra wide photos still look distorted after enabling this setting, check that you are actually shooting in ultra wide mode and not a cropped standard shot, since the correction only applies to genuine ultra wide captures.
