Turn On/Off Dial Pad Tones auf Xiaomi
The short beep you hear on the Xiaomi dial pad is not controlled from within the phone app. It sits under the general sound settings of the device, which is why many users search the wrong menu first.
This tone is a keypad-tone feedback function tied to the touch input, separate from ringtone or notification sound settings. Turning it off does not affect call quality, ringtones, or vibration patterns - it only mutes the audible click when you tap digits on the dial pad.
Where to find the toggle
Open Settings ➔ Sound & vibration ➔ Additional settings. Inside that menu, you find the option to enable or disable dial pad tones. Flip the switch off to silence the beeps, or turn it on if you rely on that feedback while dialing.
If the toggle looks active but you still hear no sound, check that your media or call volume is not muted, since the dial pad tone plays through the same audio channel as call sounds. If the tone plays even in silent mode, that is expected behavior on some builds, since this setting is independent from the ringer profile.
