Turn On/Off Emergency SOS auf Xiaomi
Emergency SOS on Xiaomi phones triggers when you press the power button five times in quick succession. Once active, it sends a text message with your current location to contacts you have added, and it can optionally include a summary of your last hour of call activity.
This feature sits inside the security settings rather than the lock screen shortcuts, which is why many people only discover it after an accidental trigger, usually while pulling the phone out of a pocket or bag. Turning it off removes the power-button trigger entirely. Turning it on requires you to add at least one contact before the system allows it to stay active.
Enable or disable Emergency SOS
Open Settings ➔ Passwords & security ➔ Emergency SOS. Use the switch to enable or disable the feature. If you enable it, confirm with Allow, then tap Add to choose a contact from your phonebook.
After adding a contact, decide whether the setup should Send now as a test or you want to Cancel that step. Repeat the Add action for every contact you want included in the alert list.
If accidental triggers are the main issue, disabling the feature is faster than removing every contact one by one. If you rely on it for safety, keep at least one reachable contact added and run a test so you know what the alert looks like on their end.
