Filter Contacts by Account auf Xiaomi
When contacts from several accounts pile up in one list, calls and messages get harder to sort through. MIUI stores every synced account together by default, so phone contacts sit right next to WhatsApp, Google, or SIM entries.
A dedicated filter lets you display only the account categories you choose. This helps when you only want a WhatsApp contacts view, or when you want to hide duplicate SIM entries while searching for someone.
How to filter the contact list
Go to Tap on Contacts ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Customize view ➔ Tap on Customize ➔ Select or deselect Categories ➔ Tap on Save.
Each category listed under Customize represents one account type, for example your phone storage, SIM card, or a messaging app synced to the device.
Deselecting a category removes its contacts from the visible list without deleting or unsyncing the account itself.
The filter applies to both the Contacts app and the contact suggestions shown in Calls and Messages.
If some contacts still show up after filtering, check whether that person is also saved under a category you left selected. A contact saved to two accounts stays visible until both categories are deselected.
