Import Contacts from VCF, SIM or Account auf Xiaomi
Xiaomi phones support several sources for contact import: a .vcf file, the SIM card, or an existing account such as Mi Cloud or Google. The Contacts app handles all of these through one shared import flow, so the source you pick only matters at the last step.
Contacts imported this way can be stored in three different places: on the phone itself, in your Mi account, or in a linked Google account. Choosing phone storage keeps them local to the device, while Mi account or Google Account storage lets them sync automatically if you switch phones later.
Where to find the import option
Open Tap on Contacts ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Import. This opens the source selection screen.
Next, follow Choose from where to importand tap OK ➔ Choose where to import ➔ Choose a .vcf file. Pick the origin (SIM, account, or storage), confirm the destination for the imported entries, then select the actual .vcf file if that's the source you chose.
If contacts still don't appear after import, check that the destination you picked (phone, Mi account, Google Account) matches the account currently active in the Contacts app. Entries can import successfully but stay invisible if the app is filtered to show only one account.
