Xiaomi: Manage Synced Gallery Albums

Gallery syncs photos and videos to Xiaomi Cloud album by album, not as one single backup job. Once cloud sync is active for your account, every album that is marked as synced keeps uploading new content in the background, even if you only care about a couple of folders.

To control this, open Tap on Gallery ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Manage synced albums. This screen lists every album on the device together with its current sync state. From here you can Turn On/Off an Album to include or exclude it from future uploads.

Turning an album off only stops new items in that album from being uploaded. It does not delete anything already stored in Xiaomi Cloud, so existing backups stay untouched. This is the setting to use when a specific folder, like a work scan album or a downloaded meme collection, keeps eating into your cloud quota.

If the goal is to stop all cloud backup at once instead of managing single albums, disabling Xiaomi Cloud sync for Gallery entirely in the account settings is the faster route, but it also pauses backup for albums you might still want protected.
