Xiaomi: Change Name Format in Call History

Call history on a Xiaomi phone can display contact names in two ways: first name first, or last name first. When contacts come from different sources - SIM card, Google account, local backup - the phone app sometimes keeps the original saving format instead of applying one uniform style across the call log.

This setting only changes the display order in the call history and the phone app. It does not rename contacts or edit their stored data, so nothing gets lost if you switch it back later.

To set it, open Phone ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Display options ➔ Tap on Name format. Then choose First name first or Last name first.

The change applies instantly to the whole call history, not just new entries. If names still look inconsistent afterward, the issue is usually with how individual contacts were saved, not with this setting.
