Turn Lock Screen Notifications On or Off auf Xiaomi
Turning off lock screen notifications on your Xiaomi phone hides message previews and app alerts from anyone glancing at your screen, but it also removes the pop-up banners you normally rely on to react quickly. Once this setting is off, MIUI only keeps a small icon in the status bar, so you have to unlock the phone to see what actually happened.
This behavior comes from the Notifications and Control center settings, which control how much information shows up before you unlock the device. The Format option decides whether full notification content, just icons, or nothing at all appears while the screen is locked.
To adjust it: Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Notifications & Control center ➔ Tap on Lock screen ➔ Tap on Format ➔ Choose Show or Don't show Lock screen notifications.
If you only want to hide sensitive content but still notice new activity, look for a per-app notification style option instead of switching the global format. That way calls and calendar reminders keep showing while private chats stay hidden.
Disabling lock screen notifications entirely means you will miss time-sensitive alerts unless you check the status bar or open the app directly. Weigh this against how much you rely on instant message previews for work or personal reminders.
