Restore a Local Backup auf Xiaomi
Losing an app, contact list, or system setting on a Xiaomi phone does not require wiping the device. MIUI stores a local backup on internal storage whenever you create one manually, and that backup can be restored at any point without touching the factory reset option.
Local backups differ from Google Drive or Xiaomi Cloud backups because the data stays on the phone itself. That makes restoring faster, since nothing needs to download first, but it also means the backup disappears if you clear internal storage or switch devices.
To restore, open Settings ➔ About phone ➔ Back up and restore ➔ Mobile device ➔ Restore. Pick the backup file you want from the list, then choose Restore again to select which data (apps, messages, photos, settings) gets restored.
If a backup does not show up, check whether it was saved as a local, Google, or Xiaomi Cloud backup, since only local backups appear under Mobile device. A partial restore is possible too, you can select just contacts or just apps instead of the full backup.
