Xiaomi: Schedule Battery Saver to Turn On Automatically

Turning Battery saver on and off by hand every night gets old fast, and it's easy to forget before you go to sleep. If you leave it running into the morning, background apps and notifications stay throttled longer than you need. MIUI lets you set fixed start and end times so the mode switches itself.

Schedule Battery Saver Automatically auf Xiaomi

Battery saver on Xiaomi phones normally has to be switched on and off manually. That works fine during the day, but overnight it's easy to forget, leaving your phone either unprotected while charging or stuck in saver mode after you wake up.

MIUI includes a scheduling option inside the battery settings that removes this manual step. Once you set a start and end time, the system enables Battery saver automatically at the chosen hour and disables it again at the second one, without any extra taps.

This is useful if you charge overnight and want background restrictions active only while you're asleep, or if you have a predictable low-usage window during the day, like work hours where the phone stays in a pocket or bag.

To set it up, go to SettingsBattery & performanceSettingsBattery saver, then enable Schedule time to switch between modes. Tap Start / End to define the two times that control when the mode turns on and off.

Keep in mind the schedule runs on a fixed daily loop. If your usage pattern changes often, for example irregular shift work, a manual toggle might still fit better than a fixed schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Once Schedule time to switch between modes is enabled, MIUI applies both the start and end time regardless of screen state, so the phone exits saver mode at the set time whether it's locked or in use.
