Select Network Manually auf Xiaomi
Automatic network selection is turned on by default on Xiaomi phones. The phone connects to whichever registered carrier has the strongest signal in the area, which usually works fine at home but can cause problems abroad. Local networks with roaming agreements are not always the ones with the best coverage, so you end up with weak reception, dropped calls or slow data even though a better carrier is available.
Switching to manual selection lets you scan the available networks yourself and connect to the one with the strongest signal at your location. On a dual SIM device, make sure you select the correct SIM slot before changing the setting, since each SIM has its own network configuration.
Open Settings ➔ SIM cards & mobile networks ➔ Choose a SIM card (Dual SIM) ➔ Mobile networks ➔ Disable Automatically select network ➔ Next ➔ OK ➔ Select a Mobile network. The phone scans nearby networks and lists them by signal strength, so you can tap the one that fits best.
Manual selection makes sense when you notice weak reception on your current carrier while traveling. At home, automatic selection is almost always the better choice, since it reconnects on its own if the current network becomes unavailable. Manual mode does not switch back automatically, so you may lose service entirely if you move out of the selected carrier's coverage area.
