Turn Off Suggestions in Recent Apps Menu auf Xiaomi
On Xiaomi phones running MIUI, the recent apps menu can show more than just your open apps. A built-in suggestion feature adds shortcut tiles for things like Cleaner, Security scan, Deep cleaning or Manage Apps directly into the app switcher.
This behavior is controlled by a single home screen setting, not by the individual apps themselves. Once you know where to look, switching it off only takes a few taps.
Where the setting lives
Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Home screen ➔ Enable or disable Show suggestions. Turning this toggle off removes the extra tiles from the recent apps screen, leaving only your actively running apps.
Turning it back on brings the suggestion tiles back immediately, so you can test both states without any risk.
When this is not the right fix
If your recent apps screen looks normal but individual apps close themselves in the background, that is a separate battery or memory management issue, not related to this suggestion toggle. Disabling suggestions only changes what appears in the app switcher, it does not affect how long apps stay open in memory.
