Uninstall App Updates auf Xiaomi
App updates on Xiaomi phones run through MIUI's app management, which keeps both the current version and the original factory version stored on your device. When an update causes crashes, permission errors, or missing features, you can remove just that update and fall back to the version your phone shipped with, without deleting the app or its data.
This works because MIUI treats system-relevant apps and many pre-installed apps as a base version plus an update layer. Removing the update strips away the layer and restores the base version underneath.
To do this, go to Settings ➔ Apps ➔ Manage apps ➔ select the affected app ➔ Uninstall updates ➔ confirm with OK.
Reboot your phone afterward. This clears cached processes tied to the removed update and prevents the app from reloading broken data on its next launch.
If the option is grayed out, the app has no separate update layer to remove, which usually applies to apps installed only through the Play Store rather than pre-installed on the device. In that case, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, or waiting for a fixed update, is the better route.
Keep in mind that uninstalling an update can also remove security fixes or new features that came with it, so only use this if the current version is clearly causing problems.
