Add a Photo to a Contact auf Android
Android shows a generic icon or initials for every contact without a stored picture. That makes calls and message threads harder to scan, especially when several contacts share a first name or similar spelling.
Adding a photo happens inside the contact editor, not in a separate settings menu. The picture can come from your Gallery or from a fresh shot with the Camera, and Android lets you crop it before saving.
To add or change a contact photo, follow this path: Tap on Contacts ➔ Choose a Contact ➔ Tap on Edit ➔ Tap on Add picture ➔ Select Camera or Gallery ➔ Choose a Photo ➔ Adjust the Photo and tap Choose ➔ Tap on Save.
The crop step matters. Android displays the picture as a circle in the call screen and contact list, so centering the face avoids cutting off important parts of the image later.
If a contact already has a photo, the same path lets you replace it. Tapping Add picture again opens the picker directly over the existing image.
