Turn Off Auto-fill Service for Passwords auf Android
Auto-fill on Android works through a dedicated service that watches the screen for login fields, address forms or payment inputs. Once it recognizes a field, it offers or inserts saved data such as passwords, personal details or card numbers. This is handled by a system setting, not by an individual app, so one Auto-fill service can affect every app and browser on the phone.
To check or change which service is active, go to Settings ➔ Passwords & accounts ➔ Tap on the current AutoFill service ➔ Select an AutoFill service or None. Choosing None disables automatic filling everywhere on the device. Picking a different provider from the list switches which app manages your saved logins.
Turning the service off stops autofill prompts across all apps, but saved entries stored inside that service are not deleted, they are just no longer offered automatically. If a browser or password manager app has its own separate autofill toggle, that setting works independently and may need to be adjusted too.
Disabling Auto-fill makes sense on a device other people use regularly, or when autofill suggestions keep appearing in the wrong fields. If you only want to remove a single saved entry instead of turning off the whole service, managing entries inside the chosen Auto-fill service itself is usually the better fix.
