Add Emergency Contacts to Lock Screen auf Android
Emergency contacts on Android live outside your normal contact list. They are stored in a dedicated safety section so anyone can view them from the lock screen without entering a PIN, pattern, or password.
This matters after an accident or medical emergency, when paramedics or bystanders need to reach someone close to you but the phone is locked. Regular contacts stay hidden until the device is unlocked, which defeats the purpose in that situation.
Where the setting lives
Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Safety & emergency ➔ Tap on Emergency contacts ➔ Tap on Add contact ➔ Choose a Contact. Pick anyone already saved in your address book. You can add more than one contact, and each one shows up on the lock screen under the emergency call option.
Once added, the contact is visible any time the device is locked, not just during an active emergency call. There is no way to hide it selectively for certain people who might see your phone.
If you only want someone reachable during an actual crash or fall detection rather than displayed constantly on the lock screen, check whether your device has a separate crash detection or fall detection feature, since that works independently from the emergency contact list described here.
