Edit Quick Responses in the Phone App auf Android
When you decline an incoming call on Android, you can send a short text instead of just hanging up. The system offers four default quick responses, but they read like placeholder text and rarely match your own tone.
These replies are stored in the Phone app settings, not in the Messages app. Editing them there means the new wording applies system-wide, every time you reject a call with a text.
Where to change the quick responses
Open the Menüpfad below to reach the editing screen:
Tap on Phone ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Quick responses ➔ Choose a Quick response ➔ Enter a Quick response and tap on OK
Each of the four slots can hold its own text. Tap the entry you want to change, clear the existing text, type your version, then confirm with OK.
There is no character counter shown, but keep responses short. Long texts get cut off as a preview on the caller's screen depending on their device.
If the Settings menu does not show a Quick responses entry, your phone app may use a different structure. In that case check whether call rejection texts are managed under a separate messaging or call-blocking section instead.
