Turn Wi-Fi Calling On or Off auf Android
Wi-Fi calling routes your voice calls through a connected Wi-Fi network instead of the cellular network of your carrier. Android switches to this mode automatically once the feature is enabled and treats the Wi-Fi network as an extension of the mobile network.
The setting helps in areas with thick walls, basements, or rural spots where carrier signal is weak but a stable Wi-Fi connection is available. Call setup and audio quality often improve because Wi-Fi typically has more bandwidth than a marginal cellular connection.
Turn on Wi-Fi calling
Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Network & internet ➔ Tap on SIMs. On a dual-SIM phone, Choose a SIM card (Dual SIM) first. Then Tap on Wi-Fi calling and Enable or disable Use Wi-Fi calling. Finish by setting the Calling preference to decide whether Wi-Fi or the mobile network gets used first.
Wi-Fi calling only works if your network operator has activated the service for your plan. If the toggle under Tap on Wi-Fi calling is greyed out or missing, contact your carrier before troubleshooting further on the phone itself.
Setting the calling preference to prefer Wi-Fi can drain battery faster on a weak Wi-Fi network, since the phone keeps checking for a better connection. Turn Wi-Fi calling off again if calls disconnect while switching between Wi-Fi networks, and rely on the mobile network instead until the connection is stable.
