Add a New Contact auf Oppo
On Oppo phones running ColorOS, all saved numbers live inside the built-in Contacts app, not inside individual chat threads or the call log. If you only save a number from within a text message, it often stays tied to that conversation and does not always turn into a proper contact entry that shows a name on future calls.
To create a real contact, open the Contacts app and go through Tap on Contacts ➔ Tap on Add ➔ Enter a Name ➔ Enter a Phone number. At this point you can either tap Save right away or expand the form to add more details first.
Adding more than just a name and number is worth doing if you plan to use the contact across other apps. Fields like email, company, address or birthday get pulled into features such as auto-fill in messaging apps, calendar reminders, or contact suggestions in the dialer.
If the goal is only to block or identify a spam number, a full contact entry is not always necessary, since some dialer settings can label numbers without saving them permanently. For everyday contacts you plan to call or message again, saving through the Contacts app keeps the entry available system-wide instead of hidden inside one app.
