Set Default Account for New Contacts auf Oppo
ColorOS stores each contact together with an account reference, either a Google account you added on the device or the internal phone storage. Without a default account, the phone asks you to confirm the storage location every time you tap the plus icon in the Contacts app, since it has no rule to follow automatically.
Setting a default account changes that behavior at the system level. Once selected, every new contact saves straight into the account you picked, without asking again. This is useful if you mainly use one account for syncing contacts across devices, or if you prefer to keep contacts local and out of any cloud backup.
How to set it
Open Contacts ➔ Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Default account for new contacts ➔ Choose an Account. Pick either a Google account already added on the phone or the internal storage option, then confirm.
If you switch Google accounts later or remove the one currently set as default, the phone falls back to asking again until you set a new default. Contacts already saved keep their original storage location and are not moved automatically when you change the default account.
