Enable Geotagging for Photos and Videos auf Oppo
Geotagging writes the GPS coordinates of a shot directly into the photo or video file. This lets gallery apps, cloud backups, and map tools show later exactly where a picture was taken. On Oppo phones running Coloros, this feature is controlled inside the camera app itself, not through the general Android location settings.
To turn it on or off, go to Tap on Camera ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Enable or disable Location. Once enabled, the camera reads your current position through the phone's location service the moment you press the shutter and stores it in the file's metadata.
For location tagging to work at all, Android location services need to be active in the background. If location access is off system-wide, the camera setting alone will not add any coordinates, even though it shows as enabled.
Turning geotagging off is worth considering before sharing photos publicly, since embedded coordinates reveal exactly where a picture was taken. Many messaging and social apps strip this data automatically, but cloud backups and direct file transfers usually keep it intact.
