Remove a Keyboard Language from Gboard auf Oppo
Extra keyboard languages usually pile up because a second or third language got added at some point and never removed. Gboard keeps every added language available in the switcher, even if you only type in one language most of the time. This slows down language cycling and can make autocorrect less reliable since it checks suggestions against every active dictionary.
On Oppo phones running ColorOS, language management for Gboard lives inside the keyboard settings, not the general system language menu. To remove a language, open Settings ➔ Additional settings ➔ Keyboard & input method ➔ Gboard ➔ Languages. Tap Edit, select the keyboard language you no longer need, and tap Delete to confirm.
Removing a language only affects the keyboard switcher and its dictionary. It does not change your phone's system language or any app language settings. If you need a language back later, add it again from the same Languages screen using the plus icon.
If typing suggestions still feel off after cleanup, check whether autocorrect or the personal dictionary is set separately in the Gboard settings, since that is a different function from language management.
