Restore a Local Backup auf Oppo
Restoring a local backup on an Oppo phone pulls saved contacts, messages, photos or app data back from a file stored on the device or an SD card. This matters after a factory reset, a failed system update, or when switching storage without cloud sync enabled.
The restore function sits inside the backup manager built into ColorOS, separate from any cloud-based restore. It only reads backups created locally, so a backup made through a cloud service will not show up here.
Open Settings ➔ Additional settings ➔ Back up and reset ➔ Back up & restore ➔ Local backup. Pick the backup file you want to use, then choose which data types to restore and confirm with Start.
Restoring only affects the categories you select. Contacts already on the phone usually merge with the backup, but app data restores often overwrite the current state of that app.
If the local backup list is empty, the phone has no backup stored in that location, or the file sits on an SD card that is not inserted right now. In that case, check the storage device connection or look for a cloud backup instead before trying again.
