Oppo: Change Alarm Ring Duration

If your Oppo phone's alarm cuts off after just 5 minutes and you keep sleeping through it, the ring duration is still on the default setting. You can stretch it up to 30 minutes or shorten it to as little as 1 minute, depending on how deep a sleeper you are.

Set Alarm Ring Duration auf Oppo

On Oppo phones running ColorOS, the alarm clock stops ringing automatically after a fixed amount of time. By default this duration is set to 5 minutes, which is often too short if you sleep deeply or leave your phone across the room.

The ring duration is a separate setting from snooze. It controls how long a single alarm cycle keeps sounding before it stops on its own, even if you never touch the screen. Snooze only comes into play once you actively tap it.

To change the setting, open the Clock app, then tap MenuSettingsRing duration. From there, choose one of the available options: 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, or 30 minutes.

A longer duration is useful for heavy sleepers or shared bedrooms where you need a persistent reminder. A shorter duration makes sense if a loud alarm disturbs others quickly or if you tend to wake up right away.

This setting applies globally to all alarms set on the device, not just one specific alarm. If you need different alarms to behave differently, look for per-alarm options instead, since the ring duration setting affects every alarm equally.

Frequently asked questions

No. Ring duration only controls how long a single alarm cycle sounds before it stops automatically. The snooze timer is a separate setting and only starts once you tap Snooze on an active alarm.
