Oppo: Schedule Dark Mode to Switch Automatically

Switching Dark mode on and off by hand every day gets old fast, especially if you forget it at night and the screen stays bright. ColorOS lets you set fixed times so light and dark mode change on their own, but the option is easy to miss inside the display settings.

Schedule Dark Mode Automatically auf Oppo

Dark mode on Oppo phones is normally an on/off toggle you flip yourself. ColorOS also offers a scheduling option that switches the display theme automatically, so you don't have to remember to turn it on at night or off in the morning.

This schedule lives inside the display settings and works independently from the system's automatic sunrise/sunset switch. Choosing a custom schedule gives you full control over the exact start and end times for Dark mode.

Where to find the schedule option

Open Tap on SettingsTap on Display & brightnessTap on Auto switch. Here you get two choices: a system-based automatic mode or a custom schedule.

Select Select Custom to define your own times. Then use Set the Timefor Light/Dark mode to enter when Dark mode should start and when it should end. Confirm with Tap on Save to apply the schedule.

Once saved, the phone switches themes on its own at the times you set, without any manual toggling. If the schedule doesn't seem to trigger, check that Auto switch is still set to Custom and that the saved times are correct.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Go back to Tap on SettingsTap on Display & brightnessTap on Auto switch and disable it. Dark mode then only toggles when you switch it manually.
