Turn Screen Wake for Notifications On or Off auf Oppo
By default, some Oppo phones running ColorOS keep the screen off even when a new notification arrives, so you only notice it after unlocking the device manually. This behavior is controlled by a single toggle inside the notification settings, separate from the always-on display and lock screen options.
When the toggle is enabled, the display briefly wakes up whenever a supported app sends a notification, showing the alert without requiring a button press. When it is disabled, notifications still arrive normally, but the screen stays black until you press the power button yourself.
To change this, open Settings ➔ tap on Notifications & status bar ➔ enable or disable Wake screen when a notification is received.
Turning this on is useful if you rely on glancing at your phone for time-sensitive alerts. Turning it off helps if the phone sits face-up often and repeated wake-ups are distracting or draining the battery faster than expected. This setting only affects the notification-triggered wake behavior; it does not change how the always-on display or lock screen notifications are shown.
