Auto Turn-Off for Personal Hotspot auf Oppo
The Personal hotspot on an Oppo phone running ColorOS stays switched on by default, even after every connected device has left the network. That keeps the radio active and drains the battery faster than necessary.
ColorOS includes an idle timer built for exactly this case. Once enabled, the hotspot switches itself off after roughly 10 minutes without any device actually sending or receiving data through it.
To turn the feature on, open Settings ➔ Connection & sharing ➔ Personal hotspot ➔ Automatically turn off personal hotspot when idle and enable the toggle.
The timer tracks data traffic, not just a connected status. A phone or laptop that stays paired but sends no traffic still counts as idle, so the hotspot shuts down even though a device is technically linked.
Leave the toggle off if you regularly connect devices that transmit very little data on their own, such as certain smart displays or streaming sticks, since they can get disconnected mid-session if their traffic looks idle to the system.
