Folders let you group several app icons into a single tile on the Realme home screen, cutting down on scrolling and keeping similar tools together. Turn Off App Lock
Once App lock is active on your Realme phone, every protected app asks for your privacy password before it opens, even for quick checks you no longer want locked. Removing the feature only works with the correct privacy password on hand. If you plan to reset or sell the phone, an active App lock can also get in the way unless you switch it off first.
Turn On/Off USB Debugging
When your PC does not recognize your Realme phone in ADB or Android Studio, USB debugging is usually still switched off. This option lives inside the hidden Developer options menu, which most Realme phones do not show by default. Without it enabled, tools like ADB, Scrcpy or Android Studio cannot talk to your device over USB.
Do Not Disturb Notification Exceptions
When Do Not Disturb is active on your Realme phone, alerts can vanish from the status bar, lock screen, and notification drawer without any warning. If you still want banners, badges, or lock screen previews for certain apps to get through, the Allowed notifications settings decide what stays visible. Getting this wrong means missing time-sensitive alerts or being interrupted anyway.
Add a Printer Manually by IP Address
When a printer does not show up automatically in the default print service on your Realme phone, the auto-discovery over Wi-Fi has failed to find it. This can happen with printers on a different network segment or with 'Default Print Service' still loading its device list. Adding the printer manually by IP address gets around that without waiting for auto-detection to finish.
Set Up Fixed Dialing Numbers (FDN)
If your Realme phone still connects to numbers you never approved, Fixed Dialing Numbers (FDN) is likely still switched off. FDN limits outgoing calls, except emergency numbers, to a list you control, but the feature only activates after you enter your SIM PIN2. Without that PIN2 on hand, the option in your calling settings stays greyed out.
Set Up Parental Controls

Realme UI blocks internet access for inactive apps in this state, so messages, mail or chat updates never reach you in real time. The setting sits inside the individual app entry, not in a general notification menu.
Do Not Disturb and Notification Focus
Do Not Disturb mutes calls, alerts and vibrations while you work, sleep or drive, without cutting you off completely from the people who matter. On Realme phones you decide which contacts, apps or alarm types still get through while everything else stays quiet. Scheduled sessions can switch the mode on and off automatically, so you never have to remember to flip it yourself.
Allow or Deny Picture-in-Picture per App
When a YouTube or Netflix video suddenly loses its floating window and jumps back to full screen the moment you open another app, Picture-in-Picture is disabled for that specific app on your Realme phone. Realme UI controls this permission separately for every app, so enabling it once for YouTube does not activate it for Netflix or any other media app. Without this permission, switching apps pauses or closes the video instead of shrinking it into a movable window.
Schedule Do Not Disturb
If Do Not Disturb keeps buzzing through notifications at night or you forget to switch it off after a meeting, manual toggling is the problem. Realme lets you automate this with a saved schedule instead of remembering to flip the switch every time. Without a schedule, the mode only runs when you trigger it yourself.
Require Open Eyes for Face Unlock
If your Realme phone unlocks even when you are drowsy or your eyes are barely open, the built-in eye-check for Face Unlock is turned off. Realme UI can require fully open eyes before it accepts a face scan, adding a layer against spoofing with photos or a sleeping face. Turn Keyboard Vibration On or Off
Every tap on the realme keyboard can trigger a short buzz to confirm the keypress, but that constant vibration gets annoying fast during calls, meetings, or late-night typing. If Gboard keeps buzzing after every letter or stays silent when you actually want feedback, the haptic setting is likely set the wrong way for your habits.
Set Default Keyboard
After installing a new keyboard app from the Google Play Store, your Realme phone can keep using the old keyboard when you tap into a text field. That happens because a downloaded keyboard is not active automatically, and Realme UI still points to whatever keyboard was set as default before. Installing more keyboard apps will not change anything until one of them is actually switched on as the default.
Turn On/Off SIM Card Lock
If your Realme phone asks for a PIN every time you restart it, SIM card lock is active in the background. Enter that PIN wrong three times in a row and the SIM locks itself completely, cutting off calls, texts and mobile data until you unlock it with a PUK. Turning the lock off removes the restart prompt, but it also removes the protection against someone else using your SIM.
