Turn On or Off High Contrast Fonts auf Samsung
Standard fonts on Samsung phones are designed for general readability, but thin strokes and light colors can be hard to read in bright light or for users with low vision. The High contrast fonts option in the Accessibility menu changes how text is rendered system-wide, adding bolder outlines and stronger color contrast against the background.
This setting affects most native apps and menus, but third-party apps may render text differently depending on how they draw their interface. If some apps still look faint after enabling the feature, that app is likely using a custom font renderer instead of the system default.
How to enable or disable High contrast fonts
Open Settings ➔ Accessibility ➔ Visibility enhancements and find High contrast fonts. Toggle the switch on to apply bolder, higher-contrast text everywhere the system controls font rendering, or switch it off to return to the default font style.
This feature works independently from Dark mode and font size settings, so you can combine all three if you need larger, bolder, high-contrast text. If text still feels too small after enabling this option, adjust the font size separately in the same Accessibility menu rather than relying on High contrast fonts alone.
