Turn Maximum Power Saving Mode On or Off auf Samsung
Maximum power saving mode goes far beyond the regular power saving mode on Samsung phones. It lowers screen brightness, restricts CPU speed to about 70 percent, blocks background data for most apps, switches off Always On Display, and reduces the Home screen to a short list of allowed apps.
This mode exists for situations where battery life matters more than performance, for example on a travel day without access to a charger. Once it is active, notifications from unlisted apps stop arriving, and some features like GPS or auto-sync may pause until you disable it.
To manage it, open Settings ➔ Battery and device care ➔ Battery ➔ Power saving mode. From there you can toggle Power saving mode directly, and separately control Limit apps and Home screen, which decides whether only a reduced set of apps stays available.
If your phone feels unusually slow, has no Always On Display, or blocks certain apps from updating in the background, check this screen first. Turning the toggle off restores full CPU speed, brightness, and background activity immediately, without a restart.
Leave it switched off during normal daily use, since the restrictions on apps and data can interfere with messaging, navigation, and calls if you forget it is active.
