Turn On/Off Always-on Display auf Xiaomi
Always-on display keeps a reduced version of your screen active while the phone is locked. It shows the clock, battery status, and pending notifications without a full wake-up.
This function only appears on Xiaomi phones with an OLED panel. On devices with an LCD screen, the toggle is missing entirely because the technology cannot dim individual pixels efficiently.
Where to find the toggle
Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Always-on display & Lock screen ➔ Tap on Always-on display. From there, use Enable or disable Always-on display to switch the feature on or off.
Once enabled, you can usually pick a display style and set whether the screen stays on permanently or only activates on tap or for a limited time after locking.
Keep in mind that Always-on display draws extra power, even though OLED pixels only light up where needed. If battery life matters more than glanceable info, disabling it or switching to a scheduled mode is the better trade-off.
