Schedule Reading Mode Automatically auf Xiaomi
Reading mode shifts the display toward warmer tones and lowers blue light, which is meant to ease eye strain during long reading or media sessions. Without a schedule, MIUI leaves the toggle exactly where you last left it, so you have to switch it on before reading and switch it off again afterward.
Setting a schedule moves that control to the system. Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Display ➔ Tap on Reading mode ➔ Enable or disable Schedule. From there you choose between Good night's read, which mirrors typical bedtime hours, or Custom period, where you set your own start and end time.
A third option ties Reading mode to sunset, so it activates automatically as daylight fades and turns off again at sunrise, without a fixed clock time.
If Reading mode still does not switch as expected, check that the schedule toggle itself is enabled and that the device time zone is correct, since sunset-based timing depends on it.
Reading mode is a display filter, not a battery saver, so scheduling it will not change power consumption. If you only want blue light reduction inside specific apps, check that app's own dark mode setting instead.
